Man of the Year
The Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs, Texas Region, proudly announces its first-ever Man of the Year event, taking place on May 18, 2025, at Congregation Shearith Israel in Dallas, Texas, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This landmark celebration honors the outstanding volunteers from our Brotherhoods and Men’s Clubs — the problem solvers, organizers, and community leaders — whose dedication and service uplift their congregations and the greater Jewish community. The “Man of the Year” award is given to a deserving individual who inspires others to rise to a greater purpose through their commitment, leadership, and example.
This inaugural recognition affirms our belief that Jewish life is built and sustained through the volunteer efforts of the many, the few, or even the one. Each Brotherhood and Men’s Club in our region has the opportunity to honor a volunteer whose contributions have left a meaningful and lasting impact. This lifetime honor, celebrated among friends, family, and fellow leaders, will create unforgettable memories and help strengthen the bonds of community and purpose.
As it is written in Pirkei Avot (2:21): “It is not your duty to finish the work, but neither are you free to desist from it.” These words remind us that while no one can do it all, each of us has a vital role in shaping a vibrant Jewish future.
